Apostles
for Today is a monthly leaflet sent to all members of
the Union of the Catholic Apostolate for prayer and
reflection. These are prepared each month by different
Union members from all over the world. The originals
are then translated into several of the major languages:
Italian, English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, and
Portuguese. The styles vary but each contains similar
material. The off-repeated reference in them to OOCC
stands for Opere Complete or the Complete Works of St.
Vincent Pallotti.
The
first leaflets contained reflections on St. Vincent’s Compendium,
a summary of his “Rule” and were written to reflect
its essential Gospel roots. With the life of Jesus as
his foundation he chose to write this summary in 33
points representing the 33 years of Christ’s life.
