The Congregation of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottine), founded by St. Vincent Pallotti, is an apostolic Institute of consecrated life that proposes to follow Christ by means of the simple vows of chastity, poverty and obedience. It is an integrating part of the Union of the Catholic Apostolate, sharing the same purpose and motivated by the same spirit. (Constitutions, # 1)

Our family takes its name from St. Vincent Pallotti, a 19th century saint whose life and ideals are a model for the Church today.

We are a province of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate which is based in Rome and can be found in Italy, Brazil, Argentina, India, Mozambique as well as in the United States.

Along with the Priests and Brothers of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate and the Missionary Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate we are the founding members of the Union of the Catholic Apostolate who share responsibility for the overall union, its unity and apostolic efficiency. Over time other communities have come into being.

A public association of the faithful, the Union is open to priests, brothers, sisters, and laity who seek to call all of God’s people to accept the apostolic vocation which is theirs both by birth and baptism.

In our Province, as in other Pallottine religious communities, there are a number of Cenacles, groups of laity who — inspired by the ideals of St. Vincent and dedicated to his vision — are supported in their efforts to live an apostolic life.
